Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President and NPP flagbearer, has urged for a collective national approach to combat Ghana’s persistent flooding, emphasizing the need to address the issue beyond political divides.
“We must unite all our energies, talents, and expertise—engineers, hydrologists, and everyone else—regardless of political affiliation, because this is for the benefit of Ghana,” he stated following a tour of a community impacted by the floods on June 29.
Dr. Bawumia maintained that tackling the flooding issue necessitates input from experts and stakeholders nationwide.
“Let’s make it happen for Ghana.” “Let us unite for Ghana and tackle this issue for our nation,” he expressed.
He stated the importance of focusing on long-term solutions alongside addressing the immediate effects of the floods.
