BREAKING: Another policeman commits suicide inside Sylvio Olympio’s Ridge residence

In a very sad development, another Police officer at the Police Headquarters in Accra has committed suicide less than 72-hours after a similar incident in the Jomoro Municipality of Western Region.

This comes in the wake of a similar incident that occurred at Half Assini in the Western Region after Superintendent McCarthy Zenge, the Municipal Commander took his own life with a suicide note suggesting that he is fed up with life and wanted to end it all.

Our sources have revealed that Constable Yelnona Eugene stationed at National Protection Unit (NPU) has been unwell for some time and as a result, went on leave for treatment.

The deceased reported to work on Friday January 29, 2021 but asked for an extension of the leave period. This is to help him continue with his treatment since he was still not fit to work.

However, his wish was not granted and was put on guard duty at the residence of one Mr. Olympio, a Togo opposition exile in Ghana at Ridge. This, t is believed infuriates him to end it all as he could not bear it any longer and it was an eyesore when occupants of the house woke up this morning to the lifeless body of constable Yelnona Eugene in the washroom.
