Former President John Agyekum Kufour has showered praises on president Akufo-Addo for his commitment towards the fight against coronavirus.
Speaking on Ago FM monitored by smartandstuck.com, the Gentle Giant noted that directives from government is in the right direction. He is of the greatest conviction that such directives will help limit the spread of the virus if Ghanaians adhere to the directives.
“We don’t have the vaccine to cure coronavirus but we have a President who has outlined good procedures to prevent rampant outbreak. He has been working with the Doctors, disinfection exercise nationwide, deploying Soldiers and police to control the citizens following the lockdown, these are good measures,” he told hostess Obaahemaa Yaa Mirekua.
He then admonished Ghanaians to pray to God for his intervention.
“Let’s comply with the President’s directives and continue to pray to God for his Devine intervention, we shall overcome this one day,” he said.
Ghana recorded 73 new cases of novel coronavirus as of 6th April thereby moving the total number from 214 to 287.
The rise in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is as result of contact tracing and enhanced testing, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
