December Elections: 38,000 police officers deployed

The Inspector-General of Ghana Police, James Oppong-Boanuh, has said in an interview monitored by  that 38,000 police officers have been deployed for this year’s polls.

Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show, the Chairman of the National Election Security Taskforce noted that officers are deployed to help ensure peace prevail at the various polling stations voters will cast their votes come December 7.

Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh said that the officers have been trained and know what to do at the various polling stations. He then assured Ghanaians that this year’s polls will be peaceful and everyone should feel free to go and vote without being intimidated.

Ghana decides on Monday 7th December, 2020 with all the Political parties seriously campaigning for votes. As it stands now, there is no political party that can boastfully predict it victory in the polls.
