Ghanaians can now smile again despite the fears and anxiety coronavirus has brought. 8 Ghanaians are believed to have started showing goods signs of recovering form disease.
News has it that 16 persons are currently battling with the deadly disease but we are thankful to the Lord to have such a good news of 8 people out of the total number recovering from the sickness.
The Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu in an interview with Joy News confirmed that some patients are indeed recovering.
“As at yesterday, they were all very stable, some of them I will say are even recovering. There are two of them we are treating at home we don’t see any signs again but we may need to do some tests before we discharge them fully. But so far we don’t have anybody who’s critically ill or severely ill. Illness is mild but you see some of them like they are becoming very normal people.”
The President last Sunday announced the shut down of schools from basic to tertiary until further notice. This was necessary to avoid further spread of the disease.
However, BECE and WASSCE candidates are allowed to go to school to prepare for their final exams but proper distancing protocols must be taken into consideration by school authorities.
Also, all public gatherings such as weddings, parties, funerals, sporting events, church services, mosques, political rallies have all been put on hold for the next four weeks.
In addition to that, government has placed travel ban on appointees who want to live the country because of the disease. Nationals from countries with over recorded cases are not allowed to enter the country.
As of today the deadly disease has claimed the lives of more than 10,000 people with over 200,000 cases recorded.
