The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has promoted Inspector Hance Atubra to Chief Inspector in acknowledgment of his selflessness, courage, and initiative in saving lives during a fire outbreak at Aboso in the Western Region.
On August 26, 2026, a fire broke out at the Aboso Main Lorry Station, engulfing many stores and causing property damage.
As the first police officer on the site, Inspector Atubra moved quickly to aid those stranded in the damaged area and assisted in the victims’ safe evacuation.
People who saw the event praised his actions, and as a result, he was recommended for promotion in honor of his bravery, prompt action, and attempts to rescue lives and property.
