President Akufo-Addo according to reliable sources has appointed a new Special Prosecutor months after Martin Amidu tendered in his resignation letter citing political interference as reason for bowing out.
Barring any unforseen circumstances, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is set to appoint a legal practitioner who also doubles as Chairman of the Electronic Communications Tribunal, Mr. Kissi Agyebeng, as Ghana’s Special Prosecutor.
When approved by Parliament, Mr Agyebeng will replace Mr Martin Alamisi Burns Kaiser Amidu, who resigned on November 15, 2020.
