A popular snapchat slay queen cum serial entrepreneur Dulcie Boateng held Accra’s East Legon to a standstill when a police envoy escorted her to and from her 23rd birthday celebration which took place in the capital under a lockdown.
The convoy of about 9 slay queens posted snaps of their reveling in expensive wine and foods to mark the 23rd birthday of one of their fellow slay queen, Dulcie Boateng, who is allegedly closed to powerful big men in government who sponsor her.
Although government has ordered all travellers to be quarantined for two weeks to identify those infected with the virus and then send them to isolation centers to be treated. According to our sources, there was an arrangement to self quarantine but she was seen on snaptchat mingling with family and friends.
Thus has raised questions from the Ghanaian populace as to treatment given to some people while others are forced to obey the law.
The President in his sixth address indicated that one more week will be added to the partial lockdown of some parts of the Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi.
Though he asserted that the lockdown has been successful in tracking infected persons but Ghana is not out of the woods yet and for that the extra one week to help government to identify persons who have had contact with infected to be easily traced and given treatment so it does not spread.
