NPP Primaries: MPs who lost their seats will boost NPP’s chances of winning 2020 elections – Mac Manu

The New Patriotic Party’s campaign manager, Peter Mac-Manu, has noted that the defeat of some incumbent MPs is in the right direction and it will increase NPP’s chances of winning the 2020 elections which will come off in December with ease.

Some political analysts have said that kicking out some experienced sitting MPs and first-time MPs shows that Ghanaians are very angry with the performance of the governing New Patriotic Party.

Reacting to such assertions, the former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party said kicking out the MPs was a good thing. This according to him is because if such MPs had not been changed, the people will reble against the NPP party in the December polls with their votes.

Some Chairmen in the various Constituencies have called me to tell me that if we didn’t allow a contest and these Constituencies in order to shake them off the battle in the election will have been hard and i believe so.

He is of the greatest conviction that the party will win the 2020 elections on the grounds of good job done and for that the NPP will not need the help of the EC to rig the elections.

We must work hard after the Primaries because any victory will come only if we work hard, he told Accra-based Asaase Radio

Also, he noted that those who won the elections are not very new faces because most of them have contested for the seat for a while now and God being so good, they won it this time round which is good for the party.

He then called on the losers to support their victors because they did the same when they were elected some years ago.
