Some household brands in Ghana have offered to sponsor a little boy, Oswald, who wrote a letter to his mother concerning what he wanted for his end of term party, known widely in Ghanaian schools as “Our Day.”
In the letter, the 9-year-old asked his mom not to disappoint him because he did not disappoint her in his end of term examination.
A Twitter user first shared a shot of the handwritten letter for humour, however, brands on the social platform came together to give the pupil and his classmates the treat of their lives.
“Our Day” has since trended on Twitter behind Sarkodie’s “No Pressure Album” as the original post from Twitter user, Gambit has been retweeted over 5,000 times with almost 10,000 faves.
The brands include KFC, BlueBand, Fan Ice, Omo Ghana, Bel-Beverages, Dominion’s Pizza Ghana Access Bank who has promised to open a starters account with Ghc1000 for the boy and a host of others.
