Charles Nii Armah Mensah known in showbiz circles as Shatta Wale, has said individuals playing politics with the global coronavirus pandemic are a waste to the Ghanaian population and need to be arrested.
He believes such persons need to be lashed publicly by the military to serve as a deterrent to others who always create their own version of an issue to suit their political agenda.
“People like Yaayra Koku and others playing politics with the virus are a waste to the Ghanaian population and they need be caned publicly by the military till he becomes weak so he does not fool again,” he said.
According to the Melissa hitmaker, Coronavirus is not a mere disease that people should play politics with and if such persons cannot commit themselves towards the fight against the deadly disease, it is better they shut up for government to do it work.
His comment comes as a result of an allegation leveled against him of taking Gh 100,000 while his fellow artists took Gh 40,000 for the COVID-19 tracker virtual concert to educate the Ghanaian populace on the use of the app and the virus on the whole and how they can help reduce the spread of the .
In a live video on his Facebook wall, the controversial musician rubbished such allegations, indicating that he and all other artists billed for the concert performed for free but his fellow artists are quite over the allegation because they want to paint him as a greedy person in the music industry but said their evil plans against him will not materialize.
Wale could not comprehend why some people are blinded by politics and will do everything to taint the image of government while people are dying like flies bringing because of the pandemic.
He then called on all Ghanaians to come together and fight this common enemy.
