A police officer stationed at the Mampongteng District MTTD in the Ashanti Region, Sergeant Micheal Ottoo, has been crashed to death by a speeding vehicle.
The driver of a red Honda Accord saloon car identified as Emmanuel Marfo was arrested following the fatal crash that took the life of the officer.
It is reported that at around 3:20pm on Monday, 29th June 2026, Sgt. Ottoo was riding an unregistered motorcycle from Bomfa towards Tafo Pankrono, when the saloon car traveling in the opposite direction veered off its lane and crashed into his motorcycle.
The officer reportedly sustained multiple injuries and was quickly rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect is currently in police custody assisting investigations.
