
Real Madrid and Spanish international Iker Casillas has boldly come out to declare his sexual orientation as a gay despite marrying a woman.
The former goal keeper adds to the number of celebrities who have come out to declare their sexuality to the public. Casillas has fearlessly shared his genuine tale with the public. Casillas was married to Sara Carbonero from 2016 to 2021, and the two of them have two children.
In a tweet, Casillas wrote: “I hope you respect me: I’m gay. #felizdomingo”. He tweeted on his official Twitter account Sunday afternoon.
A lot of people are suspecting his team mate and legendary Barcelona player Puyol as Casillas’ partner after the former responded with, “its time to tell our story”.
The two were teammates at Barcelona and the Spanish team that even won the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, as evidenced by photos of them together have begun to circulate online.

A growing number of football players have bravely come out as homosexual in recent years, including Blackpool attacker Jake Daniels, who did so as the first professional footballer in the UK.
For 16 years, the former goalkeeper represented Real Madrid, where he amassed numerous prestigious victories, including three Champions League wins and five La Liga championships.
In addition, Casillas, who made 167 appearances for Spain, helped the squad win the World Cup and two European Championships.
