A photo of a Police officer wearing an earring with a heavy mustache has set social media on fire as nitizens are calling the head of police service.
The Police officer according to a Facebook user Selasy Marshalls happens to be with the Ghana Police Service. To him, the officer was part of a team dispatched to halt a demonstration by the National Democratic Congress in Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana.
The Opposition NDC after the December polls has resulted to demonstrating as a means of registering their displeasure against the EC as they claim the elections was rigged for the New Patriotic Party.
The agenda by the NDC to take to the streets and demonstrate according to party faithfuls, is in the right direction. For this reason, party supporters in different parts of the country are demonstrating and Ho which is the ‘World Bank‘ of the NDC in terms of votes is not an exception.
NDC supporters in Ho took to the streets today December 23 to demonstrate and the Ghana Police Service dispatched officers to calm the situation. However, one officer captured in a footage could be seen wearing and earring and his appearance does not depict officer who should be in a uniform.
However, our checks has also revealed that the Police Service has a SWAT team and their appearance does not conform to that of an officer. Thus their physical appearance is somewhat different from other officers in the Police.
