Sit up: Ghana’s economy sinking – Mahama boldly tells Akufo-Addo

2020 Flag Bearer for the  National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has asked President Akufo-Addo to fix Ghana’s sinking economy.

He noted that Ghanaians are going through hard times.

Speaking on TV XYZ on Tuesday November 9 as part of his tour of the Greater Accra region, Mr Mahma said “I think that this government has to sit up.”

The former president began his tour on August 17 to thank Ghanaians for their votes during the 2020 elections.

He has since toured fifteen(15) regions, wrapping up at the nation’s most populous region.

Incidentally, Mr Mahama beat all 11 candidates in the Region but his 1,326,489 votes were not enough to win him the national tally as incumbent Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo won it.

Though Mr Mahama had challenged the results in court, his suit against the EC was unanimously dismissed by the Supreme Court.

The former president is expected to wrap up his tour with a special address on Wednesday evening.
