Top Police officer who ordered the arrest of Citi FM Journalists revealed

The Police Officer who ordered the arrest of Citi FM’s journalist, Caleb Kudah and colleague Zoe Abu Baidoo has been revealed.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Samuel Kojo Azugu who was involved the mayhem that happened at the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the 2019 by-elections is reported to have sent operatives to the offices of Omni Media owners of Citi FM/TV.

Narrating the incident on Accra-based Metro TV, Bernard Avle who is the Manager for Citi FM/TV said DSP Samuel Kojo Azugu sent the operatives to the media house to arrest Zoe Abu Baidoo because Caleb Kudah sent videos he took at a restricted area.

He indicated that upon arrival at the National Security Ministry DSP Samuel Kojo Azugu told them that he ordered the arrest but did not intend for it to be in a rambo style like his operatives did.

Bernard Avle said DSP Samuel Kojo Azugu apologized to their outfit for the approach used to “invite” Zoe Abu Baidoo.

He expressed worry at the style used by the National Security Operatives indicating they could have done better considering the times the country finds itself in.
