On the 11th of March, 2015, then president Dramani Mahama, in a televised video told Ghanaians that he has a Dead Goat Syndrome and for that he is not afraid of anything that cometh his way as the First Gentleman of the Land.
This came as a surprise to many Ghanaians as none expected such comment from the president and Former president John Dramani’s comments sparked a heated argument in the country with opposition parties taking sides.
President Mahama said this while speaking to members of the Ghanaian commuity in Botswana.
The President’s comment was in response to the numerous strikes and demonstrations happening in the country then.

“I have seen more demonstrations and strikes in my first two years. I don’t think it can get worse. It is said that when you kill a goat and you frighten it with a knife, it doesn’t fear the knife because it is dead already.
