A total of 1,339 subject entire results of some students who sat for the 2021 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) have been canceled.
WAEC giving reasons for the cancelation indicated several examination malpractices including bringing of phones, foreign materials to the examination room, tearing off parts of question papers and collusion.
Also, the entire results of 3,667 candidates have been withheld pending final decision that will be taken on various cases of examination malpractice detected during and after the examination.
Additionally, the scripts of candidates from 194 schools in certain subjects have been withheld and are being scrutinised.
“The withheld results of candidates may be cancelled or released based on the outcome of the investigations,” WAEC said in a statement.
