Fuel prices in Ghana have dropped significantly, marking the biggest drop this year, allowing drivers to breathe a sigh of relief.
The cost of gasoline is expected to drop from GH¢13.93 to roughly GH¢12.92, a decrease of up to 5.21% per liter. Diesel will also see a price cut, with estimates ranging from 6.03% to 8.13%, bringing the new price per liter down from GH¢14.56 to around GH¢13.10.
To top it all off, a 6.66% reduction is in the works for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), bringing costs down to around GH¢13.60 per kilogram. The fuel price at Star Oil stands at Ghs11.59 down from Ghs12.77 per litre. Meanwhile, a litre of diesel sells at Ghs12.47 a little down from Ghs12.97.
The largest and most consumer-friendly fuel price adjustment of the year would be implemented if all 200+ Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) implemented these reductions. This would provide much-needed financial relief to households and motorists across the country.
