Former Ghanaian player, Sulley Muntari, has bemoaned how the changing rooms of Ghana Premier league teams smell with all kinds of voodoo and does not look like a place he would even want his laundry to be done.

According to him, when someone enters the locker rooms of these players, it is an eyesore because you can choke on the bad smell coming from that place.

During an interview on 3Sports, he observed that it is a common practice among all the premier league teams in the country.

“The changing rooms have an unpleasant odor. The respect simply isn’t present. I had no desire to get my laundry done at all. I would bring it home. Upon entering the changing rooms, an unpleasant odor greets you. It’s more than just a single team. Everyone”, he said.

Meanwhile, reflecting on his career at Hearts of Oak, he stated that it was a trap for him. He explained that some persons with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) wanted him to fail so his longstanding reputation will be soiled by them.

He indicated some of these football people had their journalists and wanted to spread bad news about him if had underperformed.

“The Premier League was a trap for me and their plan was for me to fall so that the hired journalist of the FA would spread fake news about me. But their plan failed.”

“I was 50 percent fit but I was doing my best.”

The 2010 Champions League champion represented Ghana from 2002 to 2014 and played a crucial role in the nation’s qualification for the World Cups in Germany (2006), South Africa (2010), and Brazil (2014).
