The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bimbilla Constituency, Mbow Mohammed, has revealed in a letter seeking to take a back seat in the party.
In a letter directed to the Northern Regional Chairman of the party, he articulated that this decision came after thoughtful consideration, having served in multiple capacities within the party since 1992 noting that his resignation is also meant to regain his respect and peace of mind.
“However, after careful reflection and consideration, I believe this is the appropriate time for me to take a back seat from active leadership responsibilities. This decision has become necessary to allow me regain my respect, personal peace, and strength, while still remaining committed to contributing meaningfully to the growth, unity, and success of the party”, part of the letter reads.
He also stated his commitment to remaining an active member of the political party, dedicated to contributing to its welfare.
