Mzbel, said that Prophet Fire Ogya would soon appear before court after acknowledging his part in disseminating false information about her.

Following his release yesterday, January 5th, Ghanaian artist Nana Ekua Amoah, also known by his stage name as Mzbel, said that Prophet Fire Ogya would soon appear before court after acknowledging his part in disseminating false information about her.

“I wish to address the false claims currently being circulated by the pastor (Fire Oja) involved in the recent matter concerning defamatory statements made against me”, she said in a post on TikTok.

Mzbel’s reason for commenting on the ongoing legal tussle between herself and the man of God was because of the numerous calls she received to confirm whether indeed Fire Ogya has been arrested.

She indicated that: “For the avoidance of doubt, it is true that the pastor was formally invited by the Police, arrested, and interrogated in connection with the false and damaging statements he made publicly about me.”

She further mentioned that the reason why Fire Ogya was released earlier was because he admitted to his crime.

“During the interrogation process, he admitted that he does not know me personally and acknowledged that his actions were wrong. He has since been charged and the matter is being processed for court.

He was subsequently granted bail to appear in court when scheduled, in accordance with police procedure. Any claim that he was never invited, arrested, or questioned is untrue and misleading.”

According to her, she did not report the matter to the police to tarnish the image of the controversial man of God but rather, to protect her image and peace of mind.

“I did not take this step out of malice. I acted to protect my name, my integrity, and my mental well-being, just as any citizen has the right to do.”

“I also wish to remind the public that the Ghana Police Service exists to protect all citizens, not only influential people. You do not need power, money, or status to seek justice. If anyone defames you, insults you, attacks your character, or spreads falsehoods about you, you have every right to report the matter to the police and allow the law to take its course.”
