The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to conduct its National Delegates Conference on July 19, 2025. The conference will take place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
This important meeting will afford the party the opportunity to address long-standing concerns about the party’s constitution and make reforms and also make adjustments to how power works within the party.
The decision to convene the Delegates conference was made during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting at Alisa Hotel in Accra on Tuesday, June 17.
The NEC meeting was presided over by Vice Chairman Dankwa Smith Butey in the chairman’s absence, as he is currently unwell and has requested to be excused from party duties.
Additionally, the NPP party has announced that its presidential primaries will take place on January 31, 2026. This will provide the party sufficient time to promote their selected nominee to Ghanaians in order to regain power in 2028.
