Ghanaian businesswoman and musician, Mona Faiz Montrage, widely known as Hajia4real is set to be released today May 22 from the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia. She has been able to serve her one-year and one-day jail term.

Hajia4real was fingered in a marriage scam that duped individuals and businesses in the U.S during the period between 2013 and 2019.

She accepted that she was part of a network involved in internet fraud and marriage scams.

Mona became popular due to her taste of expensive lifestyle broadcasted across social media. She was arrested in the United Kingdom and extradited to the United States in May 2023 after attending Ghana Music Awards program in the UK organized by Alordia Promotions.

After pleading guilty to the charged in February, 2024, she received her sentence in June, 2024. S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken sentenced Mona to a prison term of 1-year and 1-day.

Hajia4real was part of a network that scammed older American men. She was able to make away with $2 million. Her U.S-based Bank accounts was at the receiving end of the funds.

As part of her prison term sentence, Hajia4real was instructed to forfeit $216,475 and pay restitution of $1,387,458.

According to court filings and reports in the local media, the embattled musician has agreed to return to Ghana upon her release from prison promising to start all over again and contribute positively to the good of the society.
