President John Dramamni Mahama has elected Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Idrissu, as the Education Minister.

President John Dramamni Mahama has elected Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Idrissu, as the Education Minister.

 

The appointment comes in the wake of recent nominations of experienced politicians and public servants by the president to assist put back the economy on track.

Member of Parliament for Adaklu, Kwame Agbodza, has been nominated by the president to head the Ministry of Roads and Highways while Abla Dzifa Gomashie has been named Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Minister.

The current National Youth Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo, has been selected to handle the Youth Development and Empowerment Ministry.

This list happens to be the third appointment list by the president.

President Mahama prior to the 2024 polls, promised Ghanaians that he is going to appoint only 60 ministers and it seems he is on course with his pledge to Ghanaians.
