She was a distinguished director of films such as Unstrung Heroes (1995), Hanging Up (2000), Heaven (1987), and even contributed to an episode of Twin Peaks.
Her concluding cinematic endeavor, Summer Camp (2024), featured a collaboration with Eugene Levy and Kathy Bates in a whimsical comedy that honored the themes of camaraderie and the dignified passage of time.
