Former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has revealed his intention and interest to become Ghana’s president citing his love for the country as the driving force behind his ambition.
He characterized his impassioned remarks and demeanor as essential to his affection for Ghana and his desire for the nation’s advancement in all areas.
“You know me. You’ve heard me speak my mind for years. I’ve always spoken from the heart, sometimes with fire, because I love this country,” he said in a post shared on X.
Explaining further, the astute politician and member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) indicated that he has learned over time that the competence required to address an issue differs from that necessary to reveal it.
“But I’ve also listened. And I’ve come to understand that the skills needed to expose a problem are different from the skills needed to solve it,” he asserted.
He referenced the Bible to illustrate that there is time for everything, emphasizing that the period of severe criticism has compelled him to focus his attention on addressing critical issues confronting the country.
He ended his statement with a commitment to collaboration and optimism for Ghana’s future: “The former Ken advocated for you.” The new Ken will collaborate with you to foster a superior Ghana for our kids and future generations.
