The lifeless body of a Forest Guard, Daniel Obeng, has been found in a bush at Tutukpene in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region after he went missing for days.
On July 4, Obeng went missing, prompting colleagues to search for him, only to discover his dead body. The search party included Ghana Police Service troops, Forestry officials, and local community members.
Mr. Obeng has been laid to rest in Guama, located in the Jasikan Municipality which happens to be his hometown, his father, Christian Obeng revealed.
DSP Michael Kwabena Asiedu noted that the police had begun investigations into the circumstances leading to his death.
