The president-elect appointed a broad group of seasoned experts and political heavyweights to key positions in the Office of the President, according to a statement released by his office. T

he appointments, which become effective as soon as he is sworn in, are thought to be a component of Mr. Mahama’s plan to get started with his new administration right away.

The appointments are as follows:  

1. Julius Debrah will serve as Chief of Staff.  

2. Dr. Callistus Mahama has been named Executive Secretary to the President.  

3. Prosper Douglas Bani will lead the Interim Security Taskforce.  

4. Dr. Valerie Sawyerr has been appointed Senior Presidential Advisor, Governmental Affairs.  

5. Augustus Goosie Tannoh will act as Presidential Advisor Responsible for the 24-hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development.  

6. Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew will serve as Legal Counsel to the President of Ghana.  

7. Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu has been appointed Acting Spokesperson to the President.
