President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his commitment to put Ghana’s economy on a path of progress in his second term as the Head of State.
He noted that his second term will prioritize the establishment of lasting economic and governance reforms that future administrations will be unable to reverse.
“I am committed to ensuring that this second mandate, generously bestowed upon me by the people of Ghana, truly makes a difference.” I am committed to elevating our economy and governance to a standard that no future administration can undo.
During his address at the annual New Year School Conference on Tuesday, January 6, he assured Ghanaians of making a lasting impact.
He further pledged that his government will continue to practice prudent economic management and budgetary restraint throughout his term in office.
President Mahama lost the 2016 general elections to the NPP and stayed in opposition for eight years after which he won the 2024 polls.
