The Manhyia Palace has denied reports of its participation in the funeral preparations of the late Highlife Legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh widely known as Daddy Lumba.

A statement from the Palace noted that it has no hands in the ongoing preparations for the late musician and that any report linking the revered Palace to the purported final funeral rites of the Daddy Lumba should be dismissed.

The clarification follows a statement from the Abusapanyin Kofi Owusu indicating that Manhyia has given him the go ahead with the funeral arrangements.

The family of the late artist has split into two factions, with one led by the Abusapanyin, announcing that the funeral will take place on 13th December.

Meanwhile, the Akosua Serwaa faction with Evangelist Papa Shee actively involved have stressed that the funeral date for Charles Kwadwo Fosuh will take place in March, 2026.

Amid the chaos, the Palace warned that efforts to associate it with the issue might lead to misunderstanding and encouraged the public to avoid disseminating unconfirmed information that would heighten emotions around the burial preparations.
