The Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP, Abronye DC, has criticized former Tema West Member of Parliament, Hon. Irene Naa Torshie Addo, for blaming Dr. Bawumia for the party’s loss in the 2024 elections.
“You didn’t have any property just like me. The properties you were able to acquire while the party was in office, without helping the grassroots, were the reason we lost the election, not because of Dr. Bawumia, Abronye said on his Ohia Tv.
His remark comes in light of a recent assertion by Naa Torshie, who contends that Dr. Bawumia lacks marketability as a candidate and predicts that he will face defeat in the forthcoming 2028 elections if reelected.
Abronye accused her of being one of the key reasons behind the defeat and went on to televise several properties he claimed she acquired while the party was in power.
“You came to office to enrich yourself but not to help the party in any way.”
“You opened a company to import cars so that when you are home it will feed you and when NPP is currently not in good standing and want your help, the condition you gave was to be a running mate before you will help the party.”
The controversial Bono Regional Chairman made a contentious claim during his live television broadcast on December 9, alleged that the Former Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) imported tipper trucks into the country to profit from contractors seeking to hire them for their operations.
“The inscription on the trucks are ‘TorshiLart’ an abbreviation of her name and that of her now divorced husband’s name. She imported those trucks so that contractors would hire her and pay her.”
