Former Member of Parliament for Mampong, Ing. Francis Addai-Nimo, has frantically slammed NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, describing him as unqualified to hold the National Chairmanship position of the party.
In an interview on UTV, the leading figure of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), argued that Wontumi does not possess the moral authority to run for the position, particularly after failing to fulfill his commitment to secure all 47 seats in the Ashanti region as he had promised.
In his view, Wontumi ought to have stepped down from his role by this point, given his significant shortcomings in the 2024 election.
“You, Wontumi, committed to securing all 47 seats in the Ashanti region, or you will step down. Nonetheless, despite not securing the 47 seats, you chose not to resign and expressed your desire to run for the National Chairman position.”
What’s even more concerning is that the NDC now holds 7 seats in the Ashanti Region.” You openly acknowledge this failure, yet you are competing for the position of National Chairman. This is disgraceful,” he added.
