Multiple award-winning Dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known in showbiz as Shatta Wale has warned Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, the CEO and Chairman of Despite Group of Companies to caution staff of his radio and television station painting him black to desist from such untoward attitude.
The ‘Melissa’ hitmaker vented his anger at the media outlet in a live TikTok video, saying that their incessant criticism is hurting his career.
He threatened to respond in equal measure that would have negative consequences if nothing is done about it.
“If you like, let someone go and sit on Despite radio or TV station again and let the person disrespect me and let him (Despite) act nonchalant too. I respect you a lot but if you don’t advise them, the things I will say will affect all of us”, he fumed.
Shatta Wale said that the Group CEO is an inspiration to him and that he has a great deal of respect for him, but revealed the bad publicity about his brand will not be tolerated moving forward.
“ I’ve talked about the constant bad publicity stunt your media is giving to my brand but no one is willing to step in and do the needful. Give them warning to put a stop to it. I’m running my business as a musician and I’m doing a legit business similar to yours which you also claim to be legit.”
