Edmund, a 19-year-old old student of Berekum Senior High School disguised himself as a woman by wearing a miniskirt, earrings and water-filled brazier to dupe unsuspecting individuals in a fraudulent romance scheme.

Edmund, a 19-year-old old student of Berekum Senior High School (SHS) disguised himself as a woman by wearing a miniskirt, earrings and water-filled brazier to dupe unsuspecting individuals in a fraudulent romance scheme.

The incident is said to have happened at Baidan in the Brekum East Assembly of the Bono Region.

According to Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, the modus operandi of the student is that he would dress as a female and start demanding for financial assistance the moment you show interest to date him.

He would then fake illness to avoid meeting his supposed lovers in person. After requesting the spare keys from his romance scam victims, he sneaked into their rooms to rob them in their absence.

Upon sensing a foul play, one of the victims asked for a drink up.

During the meet-up, it was revealed that he wore a water-filled brazier. Edmund knew luck has eluded him this around, took to his feet and fled the scene. He was chased by a mob until he found sanctuary in a church where a service was in progress.

The student told the pastor of his predicament and why he was being followed by the mob. The pastor locked the student in his office to prevent thd mob from attacking him.

The pastor reached out to Edmund’s parents who assured all affected victims that they will be compensated.

They pleaded with all those who have been affected by Edmund’s romance scam to tamper justice with mercy as they are all going to be reimbursed.
