With an impressive 82 points, the best score recorded so far in the current tournament, Adisadel College made a bold statement after two years. This earned them a spot in the quarterfinals of the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).

With the same self-assurance and lightning speed that brought them their previous triumphs, the Zebra Boys swept both St. Hubert Seminary SHS and Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS in their one-eighth match.

After securing 29 points at the end of Round One, Adisadel established a dominating lead, while Serwaa Nyarko trailed with eight points and St. Hubert trailed with fifteen. In Round Two, they widened the advantage even more, scoring 48 points to St. Hubert’s 18 and Serwaa Nyarko’s 11.

As the fourth round came to a finish, Adisadel had 69 points, with St. Hubert Seminary SHS and Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS equal on 24. Finally, to finish off their dominant performance, the Cape Coast lads scored an almost perfect eight out of ten in the Problem of the Day, bringing their total scores to eighty-two.

In an absolutely amazing “final before the final” matchup, they will face off against Prempeh College, the current champions, and Mfantsipim School, the reigning champions.

The Black and White Boys, who last won the NSMQ trophy in 2016, are continuing their remarkable run and will be hoping to recreate that success this year.
