
Two Immigration officers have allegedly been shot and severely injured in an ambush at Nagani in the Tempane District of the Upper East Region.
The incident is said to have happened on late Sunday night around 11:00pm, November 2, 2025.
According to sources, the officers were returning from night duty on a motorbike when the assailants laid ambush and opened fire on the unsuspecting personnel.
It is reported that the officers sustained life-threatening injuries and were immediately transported to the Upper East Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga, where they are currently receiving urgent medical care.
The Ghana Immigration Service is yet to issue an official statement on the incident, but sources confirm that formal investigation has commenced.
