The police has arrested a woman seen in a viral video assaulting a man. Also, the person who was taking videos and pictures of the unfortunate incident has been grabbed by the law enforcement agency.
Esther Nana Afia Sarfowaa, the lady identified as the main suspect, was picked up at Subriso, located within the Ahafo Ano North.
Stephen Ofori, who happens to be the cameraman, was apprehended at Nkawie in the Ashanti Region due to his involvement in the incident.
Both are currently in custody, while authorities continue to search for three other suspects still at large.
A statement from the police has revealed that they are taking a critical look at the footage to identify the remaining suspects. The police have therefore urged the general public to come out with credible information that can lead to the arrest of the remaining perpetrators.
The incident has drawn widespread condemnation from the public, sparking serious concerns about domestic abuse and the increasing prevalence of violent behavior in households. A lot of netizens who came across the video have called on the Ghana Police Service to expedite the prosecution process.
