The Ghana Education Service (GES) has noted in a statement released Monday, April 20, that it has secured clearance from the Ministry of Finance (MOF) to start paying teachersarrears, covering a period from August 2014 to November 2025.
GES has directed that the settlement of arrears will occur in five installments. The timeline specifies that payments will extend from May to August, with each phase addressing four months of outstanding balances.
It further urged all regional directors to channel the message to all heads of schools to alert eligible staff for the upcoming exercise.
