An alleged military officer, in the person of Prince krah has murdered his friend, Ebenezer Kwabena Obri, alias Kobby and his six-months pregnant wife at Immigration House on Saki Road in the High Tension area of Golf City in Tamale.
According to reports, the incident happened on April 29th. The prime suspect, krah was reassigned to Tamale and stayed with the couple for some days before the horrific incident occurred.
Eyewitnesses’ account revealed that prior to the incident, the suspect has been hanging out with the couple giving the impression that they are best of friends.
It is rumored that during one of their hangouts, the now deceased Kobby, discussed with his friend krah that he has received Ghs100,000 from someone to purchase fuel and at that moment, a hint of evil thoughts started forming in Krah’s mind.
Kobby together with the suspect set out to purchase the fuel for the client but they could not make any headway so they had to return home and try some other time.
But, on Wednesday April 29, after returning home, Prince allegedly attacked the couple and murdered them in cold blood in the presence of their 3-year-old daughter and made away with the Ghs100,000 cash.
Prince, however, spared the life of the 3-year-old daughter. The child was left to witness the whole incident and stayed with her parents corpse for three full days without food or water after which a client who came to make payments realized the whole situation and alerted neighbours leaving around.
The bodies have since been retrieved and sent to the morgue for autopsy.
The Ghana Police Service, through the Saki Police Command, has launched a full scale investigation into the matter and a manhunt for the suspect who is currently on the run.
At the time of filling this report, there has not been any official statement from the police in regard to this incident.
