A 60-year-old man has been apprehended by the police after he slashed the face of his fellow man with a razor blade.
The incident happened at New Edubiase in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
According to eyewitness accounts, the victim, Akwasi Tawiah, and the suspect, Kwame Atuah, engaged in verbal exchanges that escalated into serious argument flaring up tempers.
Atuah, who could not control his temper, reached out for a blade and slashed the face of his victim.
But he was stopped by people who were around and handed over to the police.
Tawiah was rushed to the St. Benito hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
Police in the area after visiting Tawiah confirmed he has multiple wounds on his face and has been given a police medical report for endorsement.
Meanwhile, Atuah is in police custody and will face the law in the coming days.
