Within 24 hours, social media has been flooded with unfavorable accounts from individuals associated with the Christ Embassy Youth Church (CEYC).
Members of the Church have shared alarming testimonies, detailing experiences of sexual harassment by pastors, as well as instances of extortion and intimidation.
Ama Burland, an influencer and former member of the Church, was among those who shared her testimony regarding the organization.
She shared that the church was the initial setting where she encountered God, having been raised in a Muslim household.
She claimed that certain experiences in the church prompted her to leave. One notable incident involved a man who, after receiving a miracle, discarded his crutches. However, the very next day, she saw him again, relying on the same crutches he had seemingly abandoned after his miraculous moment.
As a recent convert, she expressed that, without any training, she was appointed as a cell leader. Feeling unprepared, she struggled to guide those she was meant to lead, as she was still navigating her own path.
She noted that seed sowing prompted many individuals to sell their properties, all because they were promised a double return in blessings—something she found hard to understand.
