The First Lady Of Equatorial Guinea, Constancia Mangue Nsue Okomo, has bemoaned the trending videos of Baltasar Engonga which according to her has tarnished the the image of women in her country.
Madam Nsue Okomo also added her voice to the trending videos of the former Director General of the country’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF) who was captured in leaked tapes with multiple women having intimacy.
Some of the unsuspecting women whose enormous relationship with Baltasar got leaked online are from highly influential homes.
The videos has been in circulation for sometime now and it continues to top trends on some social media apps including X, TikTok etc. A lot of netizens have criticized individuals involved in the act while others have also made fun of it with funny memes of Baltasar.
She explained that the leaked tapes have the potential of undermining the gains made in protecting the rights of women and advancing gender equality.
The First Lady condemning the act noted the videos may have a far-reaching effect on the perception people from other countries will have about women of Equatorial Guinea.
Nsue Okomo maintained that the institution handling the case involving Baltasar should be transparent and fair.
Prime Minister Manuel Osa Nsue Nsua has hinted measure that will put in place to prevent such similar incident from happening again.
According to him, there will be CCTV cameras in all government offices.
