A 65-year-old woman, Gladys Abena has reportedly been beheaded by her nephew.
The suspect, Kojo Sam allegedly killed his aunty on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Breman- Benin Community of the Asikuma Odoben-Brakwa District of the Central Region of Ghana.
Reports indicate that Sam unlawfully entered the victim’s room with a pestle and subsequently hit her multiple times. He then dragged her outside and stabbed her multiple times before beheading her.
Some residents and family members disclosed that the accused had formerly issued threats to take the victim’s life during family disputes.
In light of these threats, the residents indicated that the relatives opted to address the issues privately, refraining from engaging authorities.
However, after committing such a heinous crime, Sam tried to flee the town but he was arrested by police later in the after and he is currently in police custody assisting in investigations.
