Coach Ibrahim Anyass, the focal point of a shocking controversy at Siano Soccer Academy, has been granted bail of GH¢50,000 with two sureties while the legal proceedings continue in court.

Anyass was taken into police custody after rumors connecting him to the purported sodomization of young player Ransford Osei, an act said to have led to the teenager’s terrible death.

Also, another young player with the same soccer academy has gathered the courage to speak out, detailing a similar incident under the coach’s supervision. Investigators report that the second victim accompanied criminal investigators to the Academy premises to precisely recreate the actions of the coach towards him.

He has subsequently undertaken many medical examinations, including HIV testing, and is still awaiting the findings.

As more troubling revelations emerge, families, football enthusiasts, and child safety groups are demanding prompt justice and a comprehensive investigation into the Academy’s practices.

The Gender Ministry has expressed shock at the allegations describing it as serious and has pledged full support for the ongoing investigations.

In the meantime, Siano Soccer Academy has placed Coach Anyass on suspension and has accepted to fully cooperate with the authorities.
