A young Ghanaian entrepreneur has been left heartbroken after discovering that his shop attendant allegedly sold all the goods in his phone shop and secretly travelled to Canada.

According to the businessman, he spent several years working in the United States, saving every dollar he could to start a business back home.

He then invested heavily in iPhones and phone accessories, hoping to build a stable income stream in Ghana while continuing to work abroad.

Trusting his shop attendant to manage the business in his absence, the entrepreneur returned to Ghana only to find the shop completely empty — with no trace of stock, financial records, or the attendant.

The incident has sparked conversations on social media about the risks Ghanaian diasporans face when entrusting their businesses to caretakers, especially in the retail sector.
