The data indicates that the economy experienced an expansion of 3.8% in October 2025, in contrast to the 3.0% recorded in the same month the previous year, suggesting a sustained growth trajectory.

The Monthly Indicator of Economic Growth (MIEG) published by the Ghana Statistical Service reveals that the development signifies a general growth throughout essential sectors of the economy, notwithstanding persistent unequal growth.

Sectoral statistics reveal that the services sector was the primary driver of development, increasing by 5.5% in October 2025. The industry represented around 74.7% of overall economic growth, highlighting its preeminent importance in stimulating economic activity.

Trade, telecommunications, transportation, hospitality, and other service-oriented industries sustained the sector’s robust performance.

The industrial sector had a growth rate of 3.0%, accounting for 28.7% of total economic growth. The enhancement was bolstered by advancements in manufacturing and other industrial sectors, indicating a progressive fortification of productive capability.

Simultaneously, agriculture expanded by 0.9%, accounting for 1.3% of total growth. The sector’s somewhat moderate improvement, albeit good, indicates persistent structural and seasonal issues.
