Mfantsipim School has successfully defended the title to win the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz after beating St. Augustine's College and Opoku Ware School in this year's Grand Finale.

This victory happens to be their fourth Championship title.

The contest kicked off with an electrifying atmosphere, filled with the passionate chants of supporters and heart-pounding moments that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. It was an exhilarating experience from start to finish.

Each correct answer from the participants was met with enthusiastic cheers and applause from the supporters.

The contest was held at the NEC Auditorium of the University of Cape Coast.

As the first round came to an end, Mfantsipim School had a commanding lead with 20 points, while St. Augustine’s College and Opoku Ware School followed closely with 17 points each.

But the defending champions fell short in the speed race as Augusco seized a fleeting victory with 27 points while Botwe scored 24 points. Opoku Ware School trailed with 17 points.

However, in a remarkable display of focus and determination, Mfantsipim School found their footing during the Problem of the Day round, showcasing their precision and accuracy as they edged past St. Augustine’s College by a single point.

Since BOTWE accurately answered almost every True/False question in the fourth round, they were able to hold on to their lead. At the end of the fourth round, they had amassed 46 points, AUGUSCO 42, and OWASS 29.

The final round sealed the victory for the Cape Coast based-all-boys school as they scored 56 points to emerge winners of this year’s tournament.

St. Augustine’s College took the 1st runner-up place with 42 points while Opoku Ware School placed third with 29 points.

With red-and-white flags fluttering in the air and the spirited chant of “God is a MOBA!!” echoing throughout the auditorium, the champions raised the trophy triumphantly, their smiles beaming and hearts brimming with joy. A moment of sheer joy and happiness unfolded as the Botwe Boys demonstrated yet again their undeniable prowess in the realm of academic excellence.
