
Three persons have perished while six others are in critical condition after a Howo tipper truck crashed into a Daewoo Matiz leaving one person unharmed.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has announced in a statement that they received a distress call at 14:28 hours. Afterwards, they had to send a rescue team to the scene to help manage the situation.
Upon arrival, personnel were notified that six injured victims had already been transported to the Margaret Marquart Catholic Hospital.
The GNFS reports that the tipper truck, bearing the registration GN-4585-25, was occupied by two individuals. The driver suffered injuries, whereas the mate emerged unscathed.
The Daewoo had eight occupants. Five passengers sustained serious injuries. Following the collision, the driver and two front-seat passengers found themselves trapped in the wreckage. Fortunately, the dedicated team from the GNFS swiftly intervened, successfully extricating all three from the mangled vehicle. The driver passed away immediately, while the two succumbed to their injuries upon arrival at the Margaret Marquet Catholic Hospital.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that the Daewoo Matiz dashed straight into the lane of the tipper truck who was also on top speed resulting in the unfortunate incident.
