
In a dramatic turn of events, the Kwahuhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III, has been taken into custody after a dawn raid on the Kwahu Palace, which also led to the detention of the Queen Mother, Nana Adwoa Gyemfua, as confirmed by Citi News.
Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III, upon hearing about the palace raid and the supposed abduction of the Queen Mother while in Accra, is said to have driven to Kwahu on the morning of November 17 to evaluate the situation personally. As soon as he arrived, he was promptly taken into custody.
Reports suggest that the arrest was executed by uniformed personnel in the presence of the controversial Chief, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II.
Both the Nkawkaw and Kwahu Divisional Police Commands have noted that they have no knowledge about the said incident.
